Multicanalidad, en el mercado actual existen dos formas de vender servicios y o productos fisicamente o digitalmente,  el efecto cuando se cruza las dos tecnicas  se le llama ROPO(research on line, purchase off line) , la información previa a la compra se realiza en el mundo digital pero la ejecución de la misma se realiza en el mundo físico (de acuerdo con GFK el 60% de los compradores “off” buscaron “on line” la información necesaria para realizar la compra). Y obviamente hacia el lado contrario también funciona: el 50% de los compradores on line visitó la tienda física antes de realizar su compra.

Omnicanalidad o multicanalidad consiste en difuminar lo más posible la barrera existente entre el mundo físico y el digital. Al fin y al cabo, el consumidor no piensa en canales, piensa en retailers o en marcas de manera que espera que el retailer o la marca escuche sus peticiones de la misma manera y con la misma respuesta independientemente de cómo esté accediendo a su oferta.
